10 DESIGN-LED THINGS TO DO IN MALMÖ, SWEDEN

Last week I had the pleasure of being invited to Sweden courtesy of Visit Sweden. Me and three other bloggers (Kimberley from Swoon Worthy, Abi from These Four Walls and Lou from Little Green Shed) all travelled to Skåne, the county where Malmo is situated. We travelled to a few cities within Skåne, but to start I thought I'd give you the lowdown on some cool design led things to do in Malmö, Sweden's third largest city.

1. Get lunch at Saltimporten

Simple, delicious lunch dishes, canteen style seating and cool industrial decor.

2. Visit Stoft Studio

Lovely people making tactile creations. The ceramic collection they have there is on point.

3. Stay at Story hotel

Sweden's coolest chain of hotels has just opened in Malmö. Think contemporary cool design that's more than functional.

4. Visit the studio of Butlerlingard

Textile designing female power duo who are partial to a bit of boobie.

5. Have dinner at Grilljanne Asian rooftoop bbq

Amazing views over Malmö from the roof terrace and floor to ceiling windows in the toilets... kinky! Food's not too shabby either ;)

6. Visit the market hall

If you love fresh produce and indie traders the this place is for you. From flowers to noodles, this is a great place to stop in and grab a bite to eat or pick up a treat to take home.

7. Have a matcha latte at Tea Junkie

I'm a big fan of matcha and a matcha latte at Tea Junkie is not to be missed! Sit at their little bar whilst you watch the staff elegantly make your cuppa. Mesmerising.

8. Visit Grandpa

Malmö's coolest lifestyle store. Expect vintage style bits and pieces, a bit like urban outfitters in style but less commercial. Hipster friendly.

9. Shop in AB Småland

Another cool lifestyle store, but this one a bit more Scandi boho. Fab cafe with mismatched furniture and plants, so many plants. Insta heaven for anyone into Scandi stuff.

10. Walk by the canal

Of course no trip to Malmö would be complete without a little walk along the canal to get some snaps of the traditional fishing huts!

I hope this has given you some ideas of things to do in Malmö! I had a great time exploring what this cool little city has to offer :)

Thanks to Visit Sweden and Visit Skåne for a fabulous trip!
