DINNER & DECOR: THE TOM DIXON DESIGNED BRONTE

The recently opened Bronte on London's Strand has been making waves in the design world, as does anything that Tom Dixon does really. Is there anything this man can do that the public won't adore?! You'd think we'd all be bored of his aesthetic by now but, nope! It's still going strong and I still love it.

A BIT OF BRITPOP DECOR FUN AT THE NEW CITIZEN M HOTEL

I often get asked where I find design inspiration in London and my favourite places are actually hotels and restaurants. They're usually more 'out there with their decor and I always go away with some fun new ideas. A couple of weeks ago, on a warm summer evening, hubby and I were asked to go along to stay at the Citizen M hotel in Tower Bridge to see what we thought.

DINNER & DECOR: BIRTHDAY AND FATHERS DAY AFTERNOON TEA AT SKETCH

The gallery at Sketch has long been on my 'must visit' list. For something that's so up my street when it comes to decor - pink, brass, zig zag marble floors and sarcastic artwork, it was actually making me feel like a complete desIgn failure that I HADN'T YET VISITED. That's why it was THE place to head to for my 31st birthday and fathers day celebrations combined.

DINNER & DECOR: MAD HATTER'S AFTERNOON TEA AT THE SANDERSON HOTEL

It's been a little while since I last did a Dinner & Decor post (don't worry, there's more coming soon), so I thought now would be the perfect time to share a recent trip of mine to The Sanderson Hotel in London where I took my mum and sister for a birthday afternoon tea. Now afternoon tea on any occasion is always exciting, but throw in a lil' bit of Alice action and I was already stumbling over myself to book us in. I mean Alice in Wonderland is like one of the greatest movies of all time, right?! But not the new one, it has to be the sh*tty 70s version with Dudley Moore. Otherwise don't talk to me about it. It's just so perfectly trippy and weird...

Anyway, onto the good stuff!

A TOUR OF LONDON'S BEST KEPT SECRETS WITH THE HP SPECTRE AND LOOK UP LONDON

Have you ever realised how little you know about your own city's history and architecture? I think about it a lot, weirdly. London is one of those places that people can save up for and have the trip of a lifetime here. But for me, because I live here I often forget (slash take for granted) the amazing sights and rich history that we have on our doorstep. Well, doorstep ish... (Croydon doesn't really count as London but whatever!)

When I was recently challenged by HP to test drive their new Spectre 360 laptop's 12 hour battery life by taking it around London for a day I saw it as the perfect opportunity to school myself on some London 'ish.

Step in my incredibly cute and clever friend Katie who runs Look Up London - a tour company that runs one of the best walks in London. She helps people to discover the secrets hidden above London's eyeline - Could it be the perfect combination?
