VISITING AMY EXTON'S COLOURFUL AND ECLECTIC LOCATION HOUSE IN MARGATE

Last weekend Jason, Marley and I headed over to Margate. My friend Amy Exton is a brilliant set designer that I met whilst she lived in London, then she relocated to Margate about a year ago and bought a run down property that she decided to turn into a location house. She invited us down to stay for a night and check out the local area at the same time. Here's what we got up to!

DINNER & DECOR: THE TOM DIXON DESIGNED BRONTE

The recently opened Bronte on London's Strand has been making waves in the design world, as does anything that Tom Dixon does really. Is there anything this man can do that the public won't adore?! You'd think we'd all be bored of his aesthetic by now but, nope! It's still going strong and I still love it.

PURPLE AND GREY BEDROOM MAKEOVER FOR MY FIRST INTERIOR DESIGN CLIENT

A year or so ago, I had a vision of starting an interiors blog and one day being an interior designer. Some people I knew sniffed at this idea... 'another project in a series of creative things she's tried her hand at' they thought (or quite literally said to my face). In just over a year I've won two awards for my blog, launched my first online digital product and now have just completed my first private interior design job. And here it is in all its glory. My first ever project! ARRRGHHH!

LIFESTYLE FOR LESS: MOD/MONO

Monochrome is HUGE at the moment! For me it's the easiest and most classy way to update an interior.

Now I know this one doesn't have my usual dash of antiques and vintage inspired influences but there was something about the inspiration image that I loved. I could see it working really easily in any home so get ready to throw away all of your colours and go black and white EVRRRYTHAAANG Kim and Kanye style. We call this one Mod/Mono (it's modern monochrome in a cool abbreviated way ok?).
