THE 'CAN I MAKE SCANDINAVIAN POSTERS WORK IN MY FLAT?' CHALLENGE
Scandi stuff is like, everywhere at the moment. Being that I'm part Scandi myself, you'd think I'd be all over it right? Well, I can't quite get down with that minimalism just yet. What can I say I love a bit of maximalist living! However, what I can get down with is really well made and great looking affordable stuff for our homes. Desenio deliver just that AAAAND *gasp* Scandinavian posters that I'm actually pretty impressed with.
But could I make them work in my eclectic style flat?
*BTW before you get started, I should share that if you use my code sarahakwisombe25 when ordering prints from Desenio you'll get 25% off between 20-22nd dec! YAY!*
I really loved this black strokes poster that even though minimal and quite Scandi in style actually worked really well in my eclectic bookcases amongst my coffee table books and what I like to call the 'self help' ledge. How cute is the gold frame too? Desenio are such a wicked and affordable place to get frames online.
The both combined came to just over £20. Bargain!

Ok round two.
Could I make this whimsy-chic print work in my neon-pop-art craziness of a flat? Let's have a go shall we?
I think it looks pretty good as a compliment to our eclectic blue velveteen curtains and mixed cushions. Don't you?
I trimmed the poster down to fit the area and framed it with a simple black frame. Total cost? Just under £18. BOOM.
Mate, I gotta say I think this one goes to me too.

I think we can both see where this is going. I am killing this shit.
Final challenge. A palm tree print, pink banana and a square gold frame for whatever I fancy putting inside...
Yeah I think this proves that you can use Scandi posters wherever really. It's just all about how you style it!
I thought that palm tree print might have been a bit bait (translation: too obvious, for all of my non South Londoners) when I ordered it but I'm really pleased with how it looks, and with the neon it really brings the Miami kinda vibes. Which are needed when the bloody weather here is so bleak at the moment.
Hopefully I've proved that not everything needs to be taken on surface value and that it always comes down to how you add your own twist to stuff. Really pleased with these new prints, especially because it made me finally get off my ass and restyle that bookshelf.
Remember that between 20-22nd Dec you can get 25% off prints using my code *sarahakwisombe25*. Get on it!
*This post is sponsored by Desenio. As always you know I only work with brands that I fully love and would or have already bought from myself. If you're a reader of my blog you'll see how many Desenio frames I've bought in the past, love them!*
