WHEN YOUR TV SYNCS UP WITH YOUR MOOD LIGHTING LIKE WOAH!
This is a sponsored blog post on behalf of Philips Hue. Though I received compensation for this post, all opinions stated are my own.
So you might remember a few months back hubby and I got very excited at installing our new Philips Hue lighting system. The Philips Hue system basically gives you full control over the mood of lighting in your home. Each Hue lightbulb can be controlled by your smartphone and changed to any colour you like - perfect for creating ambience or a change in mood.
What’s even cooler is that now they are taking it further and have partnered with The Voice UK to create a really interesting experience for the viewer where the performances actually sync up with your Philips Hue system to mirror the studio experience in your home, so it’s like a light show in your living room. Pretty cool huh!
Have a little peek of it in action...
We have two Philips Hue lightstrips in this area - one behind the TV and one attached to the back of the sideboard. They are really flexible and have a sticky backing so you can easily attach, plug them in and then get synced up to your Hue system. We also have various bulbs around the rooms in our flat and 2 x Philips Hue Go (one is seen on the left in the video) which are really cool little portable lights that come in super handy. You can check out all of the Hue products here and if you're quick there's up to a 20% discount before the 2nd April. Yay!
I've been having loads of fun with it and it really adds to the overall experience. On top of this we also use our Philips Hue to flash when it's going to rain (absolute lifesaver though it did freak out my cleaner once!) and we get it to automatically create a more cosy lighting look once it reaches 10:30pm. You know, to try and get us to wind down for the night. I mean, I'm still on my laptop till midnight most nights but at least I can do it in a vibey ambient setting ;)
Can’t wait to see what cool new advances this makes over the coming months. I'm all about a bit of great home tech.
If you have any questions about the Hue system drop me a comment below - I really love it and it's my favourite thing to show off to my family and friends so happy to answer any questions you might have!
