A BESPOKE ACRYLIC MAKEUP STORAGE SOLUTION FOR £40
It's always been a dream of mine to have easily accessible makeup. Currently my makeup storage has a good solution (an open box with compartments on a shelf) but if we had the space I'd love to have something where I can easily see every item.
I spend about 25 minutes or so putting my makeup on in the morning but I think I could get that routine down to 15 minutes or less if I had everything to hand.
Acrylic makeup storage is such a big trend right now, not only because it's useful as you can see every item, but it also looks great too.
When I worked with Command 3M earlier in the year they challenged me to showcase some interesting makeup storage ideas. I set about creating a bespoke acrylic makeup storage solution that was not only affordable (under 40 quid peeps), but also mega easy to put together, because lets be real, ain't nobody got time for drills.
I used the following pieces from IKEA to store the makeup:
and then I used these from Command to hang it all up without any nails, hammer or drills. Simple!
The great thing about this is that you could also buy as many as you like and configure them in a way that suits you. Using Command means that anything is possible and if you want to change the configurations it's as easy as pulling the strip off the wall, rather than filling holes and repainting.
All in all this cost £40.13 for a bespoke makeup storage that could save me 10 minutes each morning forever more. Pretty good value don't you think? Just think about what you could do with those extra ten mins..
