I hear loads of people say ‘oh I’m thinking about writing a blog /starting a business’, but they are so fixated on getting their logo right or the exact dimensions of a picture that they never get it out there to test it. I say ‘just go for it’, because you can refine it as you go.

Hey guys! So I'm back from Stockholm. I had such a great time! It wasn't particularly relaxing (6 adults and 5 kids means it was hectic) but it was super fun and I got to explore the beautiful city a bit. Pics to come...

In the meantime, check out my most recent interview that I did with the Nuffnang blogger community where I talk all about juggling family, work and my blog as well as what inspires me.

Hi Sarah, it’s a pleasure to interview you for “Behind the Blog” today and to showcase the side-businesses, entrepreneurship, and creativity of our talents. Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions and let us know more about your business. Let’s dive in:

To start off, can you tell us a little bit more about you: where are you from, what did you graduate in and what has been your career path so far?

Well for starters, I didn’t graduate! I’ve always lived in Croydon, a suburb of South London and left school at 16 as I wasn’t inspired by the school system. I always knew I wanted to be a bit different and had loads of creative energy that wasn’t being explored.

Years later I did go back to college to study music technology, and this resulted in my producing my own music and vocalling it too. I’ve always been a bit impatient and had a DIY ethos, so when I couldn’t find people to vocal my tracks I just did it myself. That got me out into the public eye and taught me a lot about marketing myself as a brand.

After a while I left the music industry and have found my natural progression is to move into the world of design. Residential interiors and a love of vintage and antiques is what I’m really passionate about. I’m very visual.
