ARTIFICIAL FLOWERS: DO WE SAY YAY, OR NO TO FAUX?
A few weeks back you may have seen I posted on 4 of my favourite things made of velvet. In that post I featured the Velvet Rose in Cream from one of my favourite online antiques and homeware retailers, Pavilion Broadway. Well the guys over there saw it and very sweetly sent me three of the roses as a thankyou.
I always want fresh flowers in my house, but working full time and having a young daughter means the chance for me to have time to pop to the florist is slim! Therefore I wondered if I could find any faux flowers that looked good enough to display.
Here are some picture of the faux roses so I guess I'll let you be the judge! These were shot in my bedroom on top of the fireplace. I love, love, LOVE the colour of the walls in our room. Sometimes they look Navy, other times almost Teal, depending on the lighting. Before you ask the colour, I can't remember it. But I'll go to the shop and get a colour card if you want to know!
I cut down the roses to just peek out over the top of a vase I had and I think they look pretty cool. I honestly really love these flowers and they look so realistic that unless you came up close and felt them you wouldn't know the difference. Pavilion Broadway do a massive range of faux flowers, from roses to hydrangeas and more. I'll definitely be buying more to go around the flat. These cream roses are £6.99 each.
So what's the verdict? Will you go 'faux'?
