TREND REPORT: COPPER
I'm a long term brass girl to be honest. I don't think I'll ever shy away from it. It's so glamorous and luxuri... Sorry I'll stop. But recently I've started to see the beauty in a little bit of Copper here and there. Copper prices are rising fast, which may have something to do with the sudden peak in interest for using it within interiors. Has Copper suddenly become a luxury material?!
Here's a few inspiring images and pieces you can try from this new trend.
Copper works incredibly well for ceiling pendants. Here's one I've found that's affordable and really similar to the above...
Used as a vase the copper works brilliantly against green plants. Here's some great copper vases I love.
FIXTURES AND FITTINGS
Industrial copper piping works amazingly well for exposed fixtures and fittings around the house. You can get a pack of ten 2metre long 15mm wide pipes for just under £60 and the brackets (called push together tees and elbows) are about £8. This takes away the need for a soldering iron and means you can get creative and make it yourself.
The orange and Pink undertones within copper make it a perfect complimentary material to the Pink spectrum of paint. Dusky, sugary shades seems to work really well but it also works nicely with hot and neon Pinks.
