affordable brass lighting

Ok, if you're read this blog you've probably gathered by now that I'm a bit obsessed with brass! However I've always struggled to find decent brass light fittings that are also affordable... UNTIL NOW!

Simple Lighting got in touch a few months back after I wrote a post about their garden lights and asked if I'd like to do another review of their lighting. This time I was determined to find a selection of brass light fittings that were both stylish and affordable, and I think I've succeeded.

At under £60 this cream and gold leaf pendant is great value and would work in both a traditional and more modern interior. It's got a slightly retro shape which is really on trend and I love the chain fitting. This one also come in black for those who want something slightly darker... who, me?!

These Endon brass wall lights with cream shade are super simple and elegant. These would work best in more traditional style rooms or those with a neutral colour scheme. Classic lights like this are pretty timeless because of their clean lines so they're a good buy (and only £25 each!)

The Pika downlights come in a selection of colourways but my favourite is this one with both a brass inner and outer fitting. We're looking at getting some downlights put into our hallway and I will definitely be going for these. At less than a tenner each they're a bargain!

Midcentury modern fans take notice, cos' this Overture ceiling light is a great piece that will fit into any retro styled room. Vintage pieces of course can't be beaten, but this is a great second choice for anyone who doesn't want to faff around with vintage wiring!

I love when artwork is lit from above. It's such a traditional concept but still looks awesome in the 21st century. It's a great way to show off your favourite pieces and add an air of elegance to your space. This LED picture light is just under £80.
