A ROUND UP OF THE ANTIQUES AND TEXTILES DECORATIVE FAIR
Credit cards at the ready peeps, I just visited the Antiques & Textiles Decorative Fair at Battersea Park. A yearly event in which a wide range of dealers from across the UK travel to London to showcase their wares. This event is not for the faint hearted!
Every stand had at least one item I would almost sell my soul to own. I saw a real collection of pieces that were real one offs, with serious craftsmanship and quality. Stand out piece had to go to Brighton based dealer Alex Macarthur, with the two bengal tiger skeletons with gilded ribcage. Runner up went to S & S Timms with their late 19th century Brass and marble topped, claw and ball foot jardiniere.
Click through the gallery for my favourites of the day and what I can only describe as a little bit of antiques porn. You can tell I like brass right?!
Apologies for any items / pictures without descriptions I got a bit excited at points and forgot to take notes!
