If you’ve been following me for a while you’ll know that I’m all about people being themselves, whether that’s in their home, business or personal life. There is far too much talk of trends and ‘what’s in’ right now when honestly, I think the best thing you can do is work out what you personally really like and why. It’s my absolute key to successful decorating that lasts a lifetime.Read More
You guys know I love getting creative and one of my favourite things to do is create colourful statement imagery. It's even better when I get to collaborate with a really cool company who want to let me do my thing and showcase their products in a way that I think you will love. So here's my still life story of a selection of colours from the Crown Paint Feature wall range. The range is all about being bold and making a statement so of course this was right up my street!Read More
Our bathroom was pretty much ok. It was the first thing we got done when we moved in 4 years ago, so it's not exactly what I would choose now considering how much my design knowledge has evolved, but in terms of a base it wasn't that bad... but it needed a makeover.Read More
Hey homies! Today I'm bringing you another one of my #swifthomehacks in the series of videos that I created in collaboration with Swiftcover. This one is all about creating a cool graphic paint effect, a bit like what I did in my daughter Marley's room recently (as seen below). It's perfect for a kids room as they love things to be a bit wacky, but it's equally just as good for any grown-ups room too :)Read More
Honestly I've always been a bit cringed out by furniture painting. I think the word 'upcycling' should sometimes be swapped for 'over decorated tat'. Shabby chic is not my bag at all. Paint effects? Dubious. So, me doing an Annie Sloan furniture painting workshop was going to be a fun experiment, right?!Read More

I get a lot of people ask me how I'm willing to take such risks with my home decor. I think they're expecting me to say 'oh, it just comes naturally' but I have to be honest my friends, that would be a lie!

So we've all heard of the affordable art fair which is a great way for anyone to become a collector. But the prices can still ring pretty high. I was contacted recently by the Director of Original Art Under £100, a website which does what it says on the tin - original artworks from great artists all for less than 100 quid.
I thought I'd take a look to see if it lived up to my expectation and was pleasantly surprised.Read More
We moved into our flat just over a year ago. It was a real fixer-upper, with no proper flooring, magnolia splashed walls and an extremely old bathroom and kitchen. As soon as we got the keys we set about starting work, which was mostly decorating after the Kitchen and bathroom had been done. We wore really cool overalls like in the picture above and pretended we were out of Breaking Bad. Unfortunately, because we hadn't really had loads of experience decorating (apart from the odd bedroom as a kid, and I'm sure I wasn't that helpful!) we ended up doing things in the wrong order and sometimes 2 or 3 times before it was right. Here's my list of what we did wrong and how to do it right, so that you won't make the same mistakes that we did!Read More
I'm a long term brass girl to be honest. I don't think I'll ever shy away from it. It's so glamorous and luxuri... Sorry I'll stop. But recently I've started to see the beauty in a little bit of Copper here and there. Copper prices are rising fast, which may have something to do with the sudden peak in interest for using it within interiors. Has Copper suddenly become a luxury material?!
Here's a few inspiring images and pieces you can try from this new trend.Read More
