I FINALLY GET TO TRY GLASSBLOWING

I'm one of those people who is obsessed with weird videos of molten glass or squishy slime. Have you seen those videos on instagram? If not, you're missing out- #slimetherapy. Glassblowing has always been on my list of things to try out but I didn't think it was going to happen as lots of the studios were either very expensive for a class or quite far away. But then the lovely people at Rothschild & Bickers got in touch and asked if I'd like to go and take a look around their glass studio where they handblow their beautiful glass lights.

DIY HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS: SPOOKY FLOATING HEADS

I'm literally the worst person at crafting. I totally suck. So if I can create a craft project that looks half decent then you can too! Halloween is coming up pretty soon, and if you have kids at home or you're just into it, then you might be thinking about creating some fun decorations. I've collaborated with Command 3m to show you a really quick and easy (like literally 5 minute) tutorial for some spoooooky halloween heads!

PUTTING UP A SHELF FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER (YES REALLY)

Confession. I know I'm an interiors blogger but I've never actually put up a shelf. I've watched many times over as my hubby Jason does various bits of drilling into walls and levelling up shelves only to watch said shelves drop out of the wall because the plaster wasn't strong enough to hold it. I once recall being well excited that we had managed to put up our new circular shower curtain rail so that I could finally shower without spraying the entire bathroom with water only to have it slowly collapse on me, mid shower, mid shampoo. Almost more frustrating than when the boiler light decides to go out mid shower. Almost. Anyway...

VIDEO: AN EASY 5 MINUTE ABSTRACT ARTWORK TUTORIAL

Yo! If you're anything like me then art makes up a big part of your home. Alongside all of the up and coming artists that I love to invest in, it's also fun to create your own abstract pieces. You can see I did one a few months back which was inspired by Franz Klein.  You may have seen I've been doing a series of videos with Swiftcover and here's another in the series where I'm showing you how you can create a two tone metallic canvas in just a few minutes (well, allow a bit of drying time too!)

VIDEO: HOW TO CREATE A GRAPHIC PAINT EFFECT FOR A WALL

Hey homies! Today I'm bringing you another one of my #swifthomehacks in the series of videos that I created in collaboration with Swiftcover. This one is all about creating a cool graphic paint effect, a bit like what I did in my daughter Marley's room recently (as seen below). It's perfect for a kids room as they love things to be a bit wacky, but it's equally just as good for any grown-ups room too :)

AN ALTERNATIVE XMAS TREE - AS FEATURED ON KIRSTIE'S HANDMADE XMAS

Hey! Like me, you might not be someone who's super into christmas. Of course I love the getting together of family and sharing happiness but I can find the decor side of things a little bit too 'nice'. So this year, when I was invited to join Kirstie Allsop on her Handmade Christmas show on channel 4 I decided to bring you all something of a punk take on the traditional xmas. I've also recreated that tree at home with a bunch more decorations - on the show we had to hand make everything so tinsel and gold baubles were out of the picture).

Hopefully you'll find this tree serves as a little bit of inspiration for your own Alternative Xmas movement!

HOW TO PLANT EASY WINDOW FLOWER BOXES FOR YOUR APARTMENT

Hey! The sun is out here in the UK at the moment, and with it comes a whole new list of wishes for me. I wish I had a garden. I wish I had a pool. I wish I was rich so that I can have a garden and a pool....  All this sitting inside with only a poor excuse for a communal garden got me thinking that I needed to see something beautiful, colourful and natural. So I decided to take some of the crappy terracotta window boxes that were left behind from the previous owners and jazz up my windowsills with some window flower boxes. This is perfect for you if a) you don't have proper outside space and b) you have no bloody idea what you're doing when it comes to gardening. Because I don't either!

THE 5 STEP GUIDE TO SPRAY PAINTING STUFF GOLD

Let me tell you, I have been looking for months to find the right kind of light fixture for our bedroom. It needed to spread a lot of light, ideally upwards, have a retro look, not cost the earth... and of course be gold. I also wanted to spend less than £100. I know, who am I kidding right?! I don't ask for much. But low and behold, when Homebase got in touch and asked if I wanted some vouchers to try out some of their products, by George. - I flippin' cracked it. All thanks to a little thing called gold spray paint...
